Another day on the train. Something happened when we were at the Nimes station, and the train wasn’t moving. We, of course, had absolutely no idea what was going on, but half the people got off, so there were a lot more seats. One woman helped us figure out that we should stay. Then, we had lunch at the Avignon train station so we could be sure to avoid the 3pm-no-more-lunch problem. Not the finest French food, but better than you might expect.
Later on, more eating, this time some really nice French food. Tom and I had cheeks of beef. I don’t want to think much about that, but it was very good. We all finished off with one of their beautiful desserts. Let’s hope tomorrow’s tour will help us walk off some of the desserts.
I agree about the “cheeks of beef”. How brave !
