Diane

This was Independence Day in Catalonia, so there were lots of flags and loads of people in the streets. Our guide told us this was basically the “we’re still here” day. We walked down to the waterfront and back, which was about all we did during the day.

In the evening, a thirty-five-year-old stuntman/actor/tennis player/skier/guide took us out tapas-bar-hopping. He’d lived in Atlanta for eighteen months as an au pair, having decided after a couple years working on an industrial engineering degree that it wasn’t for him. He later realized that he’d rather be an actor and stuntman. We had a great time with him.

I know we’ve said relatively little about what the food is, although eating has been a major preoccupation. Skip has taken a whole bunch of food pictures that we’ll share eventually for those who like cat videos, TikTok, and food pictures.
